Welcome to my pages about the salvage of the
German WW II Uboat U-534
On this website I will give you an impression about the salvage of the
Uboat itself
The majority of the photos
you'll find here are taken by me during the salvage operation
I'm an officer in the Netherlands navy and advised Smit Tak during the salvage
with respect to handling WW II explosive ordnance
Smit Tak was the company
that brought U-534 back to the surface in August 1993
The necessary material used to complete the background story and additional
photos to clearify items I found
on the
many websites allready written about U-boats. Where used I made appropriate links
in order to give
credit to the
author of that material
